Nice to see some facts from the other side of the fence. I always saw him as some what of a douche. These little events don’t seem to far from the truth. Then again, i take anything posted from this site lightly. Due to some discrepancies of truths from previous postings.
I knew some of these facts (the less sickening ones).
A friend of mine thinks of Jobs as a very good used car salesman and i think he is right.
Jobs was a genius his vision of gadgets was second to none only a muppet or a jealous prick would bad mouth a man who tragically died the world lost a inspiration and great man.
Did he really make a contribution to the world? is it a better place than it would have been without him? I seriously doubt that.
He was a marketing genius and knew how to make people “need” things they didn’t need before, most of the things that Apple is famous for are just copies of things that other companies were already making, just prettier, with better marketing and the support of cult-like followers.
He was successful, that doesn’t mean he was a great man or a good person, by most accounts and also his actions and the way he conducted business, it seems that he was indeed a douchebag.
And before you call me an Apple hating fanboy, I’ve owned several Apple products, including the Mac I’m using to type this, to be honest, after almost 7 years of using OSX as my main OS I think I’ve had enough of it, Ill probably get a windows laptop soon.
I totally agree with your statement that Apple became successful by Steve convincing people that they had been waiting their entire lives for what he had just developed. I was never one of the group who worshiped Steve, and after reading this article, I have one more reason to dislike him. And his creations. I have never seen another corporate entity where users of its products were such snobs.
To answer your first and second questions: yes. Obviously.
No, he was a genius.
We elevate people to mythical proportions based in their “success” (aka as how much money they make). When what we should be focusing on is their character and values.
Seriously. I stopped reading his biography because he was just a strait up ass hole. And guess what, being an ass hole is what killed him
oz has said that he’s okay with how things went down. That if Jobs needed the money that badly at the time, Woz would have given it to him. Good guy Woz…
If you are looking for a sense of fair play from adolescent narcissistic perfectionist you are in for some disappointment.
His sense of entitlement and his ‘me vs an imperfect world’ help guide his purpose. I feel relieved Woz doesn’t hold it against him. I’ve known a lot of people who have done worse to their ‘friends’.
I’ve worked on and off professionally with Apple for over 15 years. This attitude is rampant throughout the company and everyone I’ve ever dealt with there. Hands down, no contest, the worst company I’ve ever had to work with. Just like he was.

No, he was a great man.
That didn’t mean he’s perfect. Obviously.
Great Job Caveman Circus. I enjoy your site.
I don’t care how much of a “genius” Jobs was, he used up all his karma and more acting like he did.
Steve was a straight up Nigg-r not taking care of his kid.
