Zoos are normally educational in the way that they save alot of hurt animals and provide training for veterinarians. Not to mention a public area for people to gather. Zoos have a role in modern society.

They also provide that delicious tax money you leftest love oh so much.

And Dios Mio! Trump and Clinton could not be any more different if they tried. Trump EARNED his wealth from private business. Clinton STOLE her wealth for people like Trump.

    • GOD

WTF are you talking about? Drumpf was given his millions from his father! and hes lost almost all of it! he would have been better off just putting it into a high interest acct nd left it alone! the guy is an absolute scam! wake the fuck up you sheep!

      • Disqus_Shmiqus

I bet you got upset when Barack was referred to as Barry Soetoro. And I further bet that you don’t even see the irony of that.

      • Bob Frapples

So, Trump took a million dollar loan from his father and invested in business which provided thousands upon thousands of jobs only to have a couple of them go bankrupt. So, your solution was for him to just sit on his fathers money instead of taking a risk? Then you dumb fuck leftists would bitch about how the rich just sit on their money and not invest their money back into society. Ya can’t mess with that liberal logic.

Let’s also not forget the plant based diet dogma that was also mentioned above. So, because I eat meat additional to my vegetables, I need to see a doctor every 3 months for the rest of my life? Un-fucking-likely!

      • naruwu

No, but Americans eat way too much meat. Plant-based nutrients should make up the bulk of our diet. Eating meat 3 meals a day, especially via fast food, isn’t sustainable. Aside from the increased frequency of heart disease it causes, it’s absolutely terrible for our planet. Factory farms and stockyards full of antibiotic-stuffed sick animals pollute water sources, soil and the air. If the rest of the world adopted an American diet (full of cheap, dirty meat), Humanity would need 4 planet Earth’s worth of tenable land, water and feed in order to raise the necessary animals. I eat meat too, sparingly, and my body has responded; what’s better for our planet just happens to be healthier for us too.

    WEED is not a drug!

    • hawgowar

If that were true, opium and alcohol would not be drugs. Just because it’s natural doesn’t mean it’s good for you. You can find anthrax and botulism in the soil and nightshade is also a plant. There are many natural drugs, such as cocaine, opium, psilocybin, digitalin, ephedra (base for meth) and sassafras (makes ecstacy).

    • naruwu

Difference is cocaine, opium, ephedra etc don’t have medical benefits beyond pain management; and their highly addictive nature sort of supercedes their usefulness. Not only can pot be used for pain, but cannabis oil is used to treat epileptic seizures, and other THC derivatives are used to manage anxiety, insomnia, nausea, ptsd and other illnesses. My anti-anxiety medicines (3 different kinds, allat various doses) had severe withdrawal symptoms and other nasty side effects. Pot works just as well without any. Used recreationally it absolutely affects everyone differently, does alter motor functions, and thus needs to be regulated and kept away from children. But it does not belong on any list with heroin or cocaine, which are addictive, toxic and deadly. Pot’s benefits greatly outweigh its negatives.

I didn’t say we should not use marijuana for medical benefits. I have a problem with letting people smoke it instead of the specific chemicals being rendered in an accurate way, then put in pill or whatever form. Letting people smoke weed for pain or whatever is like letting people go back to smoking opium for pain or other symptoms. Assay it, take it apart and glean the compounds from it like we crack a barrel of oil into gasoline, diesel, paraffin, kerosene, jet fuel, plastic, etc.

Marijuana can be prescribed by compound now. Marinol and other compounds are available. The main difference is that by separating the noxious weed (the smell of it sends me into sneezing fits) into its components you can then prescribe it with clinical accuracy. Smoking a joint, even by licensed growers out of Denver, gives you no assurance of the exact amount of active ingredient. As Colorado has already shown, allowing people to self-medicate isn’t working as well as claimed.

Medical marijuana smoking is a back door to recreational use – nothing else. If people want the medical benefits, let them be prescribed Marinol or another cannabis-based drug which has been assayed for potency to the millionth parts of a gram. Smoking weed for chemotherapy relief is like using a shotgun to get rid of a fly in the house. Overkill. Never take more medicine that you strictly need.

” I have a problem with letting people smoke it instead of the specific chemicals being rendered in an accurate way”

Yeah well I have a problem with people smoking fucking Tobacco, kills millions every year including second hand smoke and that shit is legal. Sorry the cost of tobacco and alcohol use on society is much greater then the damage weed does to society. Thanks.

          • Joe Blow

I don’t advocate tobacco use, either. Nor drinking to excess. Do not assume or put words into my mouth. I only use tobacco four times a year (I am Blackfoot) for religious reasons. A couple of puffs on the pipe and I do not inhale it even then. I seldom drink alcohol (a shot on the Marine Corps birthday). Tobacco does indeed do a lot of damage, but what weeders will not tell you is that many of the same harmful gasses and compounds found in tobacco are also present in ganja. The problems excessive use of alcohol bring are easily read in the traffic fatalities list. So why make weed legal? Yet another intoxicant for drivers.

Recreational drugs are bad news all the way around. Humans have proven they have a hard enough time behaving when they’re on pure air, so why introduce yet another way to get fucked up?

No, prescribe cannabis compounds medically, but do not legalize the smoking of it as that is only a backdoor path to open recreational use. We don’t allow smoking opium for pain or taking heroin for pain, do we? No. We take the poppy apart and bring forth the active ingredients with scientific accuracy to give the most benefit while hopefully doing the least damage.

Care to enlighten us all where it says in the Quran that homosexuality is punishable by death? Yeah, unfortunately spreading misinformation about 1.6 billion people’s faith in an attempt to demonize all of them is basically textbook bigotry.

Seriously? You link to a propaganda page that’s sole purpose is to villify Islam? Here’s a tip: when trying to make a fact-based argument, substantiate it with non-biased data and information, not some bs bigoted website for people too scared to open a Quran or talk to a Muslim themselves.

        • Bob Frapples

The problem you have is that you like to claim bigotry when people call out muslims and their views on homosexuality. Regardless if it’s in the quran, muslims overwhelmingly believe that being gay is wrong. This is not debatable, it’s a fact. So, point your anger towards the REAL problem which is not someone being misinformed of the ins and outs of the quran, but the fact that qays are being slaughtered in muslim countries and those people really don’t have a problem with it.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: If you find anyone doing as Lot’s
people did, kill the one who does it, and the one to whom it is done
