this is one of those man up posts with the message. “people have been through worse, so stfu and stop complaining” like people dont have the right to complain or the right to not succeed in life because of a stacked deck against them because others have gone through worse. that is flawed logic. or at least, unfair. it isnt even motivational. its shaming people for daring to open up their mouths on their own problems.

i appreciate what these soldiers have done. each year in holland we have a moment of silence for them. and i am thankful i am not speaking german right now and being ruled by a dictator. but this daily man up post is unfair.

Complain all you want, it doesnt change a dam thing and in fact it turns people off of you, no one wants to listen to a grown ass man complain.

” the right to not succeed in life because of a stacked deck against them”

” It is possible to commit no errors and still lose. That is not a weakness that is life.” Captain Jean-Luc Picard. In other words Bill Gates and Elon Musk could sit down together and come up with a step by step list of what to do to become super successful men of business like them, if such a thing were possible, and release it to the general public and not everyone would get to where they are at for any number of reasons. Thats life and as my freshman high school history teacher us to tell us, lifes a bitch then you die.

“but this daily man up post is unfair.”

I think its rather easy to see in my second paragraph what Im going to say here but here it goes anyways, life aint fair.

      • the man from amsterdam

i agree with you that life isnt fair. but we could at least try to be a bit more constructive to each other. hype each other up instead of just saying “life isnt fair stfu” and “stop complaining”. that would probably have a more positive effect on others right ? telling someone to stfu is just taking the easy way out.

besides. i don’t complain all the time. i never said i did. but when people tell me to not do something ? that pisses me off.

and sometimes you have to vent. if you dont and bottle everything up, you probably wont live as long. that shit is bad for you.

        • Josh Gordon

Yo yo man I aint ever told you to stfu I dont know where thats coming from. I would say venting and complaining are two totally different things, everyone needs to let off some steam every now and then, complaining doesnt accomplish that though. Every time you feel like complaining stop yourself and think about something nice to say or ask whoever your talking to its much more constructive then complaining and eventually you’ll find yourself doing it less and less.

Oh I get that, its like when people tell you to calm down never once has someone telling another to calm down actually worked.

      • the man from amsterdam

        and sorry for the extra message, but i though of something else to say;

even if bottling stuff up doesnt make you die younger, you’ll still feel better if you dont bottle everything up. have you never told your wife/girlfriend parents, friends etc. about some asshole in traffic who almost got you killed ? or some asshole at work who took credit for your shit or does something else douchey ?

        know what i mean ?

        • Josh Gordon

I wouldnt call that complaining, its fine to drop that every now and then that dickhead in traffic almost T-boned me running a red light that asshole. Going on and on about the douche that almost caused an accident or some co-worker who took credit for your shit that would be complaining to me.

Anyways at the end of the day its best to just drop that kinda stuff. In the past Ive had drivers almost destroy me I would get mad as hell go on and on about it and boom some asshole driver in a few seconds just totally caused me to have an entire bad day, it aint worth it.

          • the man from amsterdam

it aint worth it. that i agree with. easier said than done if i am completely honest.

    • Tingle

While I see what you are saying however I disagree. My take away is that if these bad ass mother fuckers can storm a beach, you too have the courage with in to storm your metaphorical beach.

      • the man from amsterdam

and that is the exact “hyping up” i was talking about. your message, is a lot different because you use the right words. you aren’t telling anyone that life isn’t fair so shut the fuck up horse shit. your words are different.

        • Josh Gordon

“so shut the fuck up horse shit.”

As I explained below, I never once told you to stfu nor have I called you horse shit or anything of the sort. You want to be hyped up by someone thats fine, dont fucking sit there and put words in my mouth dude.

          • the man from amsterdam

ok, i apologize, but you could be (as i already said) be a bit more constructive.

I’ve been there. It was ironic that my daughter was running around the sands that hundreds died and bleed on.
