The bodybuilder known as the Iranian Hulk has been challenged in his debut MMA fight – by another Hulk.

At the end of April, 27-year-old weightlifter Sajad Gharibi announced to his close to half a million Instagram followers that he was making the transition into mixed martial arts, and would make his debut against an unnamed Brazilian opponent before the end of this year.

“I’m finally accepting my first professional fight from a Brazilian fighter before 2020,” Gharibi wrote on Instagram. “I’m ready for the challenge.”

Gharibi has been entertaining the possibility of an MMA fight with Romarios Dos Santos Alves, or “Brazilian Hulk.”  Romario was a scrawny security man until he hit the gym and with the aid of injections is the proud owner of biceps measuring a staggering 25 inches. The challenge has been on the table for quite some time apparently but it was the Brazilian who has finally made momentum in making the talk a reality.

Romario, who hails from Caldas Novas just south of the capital Brasilia, likes to live up to his moniker and regularly covers himself in bright green body paint and wear nothing but ripped blue shorts in the style of the Marvel comics hero.

Gharibi stands 6’2″ tall and weights a whopping 392-pounds (178kg), and Romario, 29, is relatively smaller, when compared with the Iranian hulk. He’s 5ft 8in tall, and weighs 229lbs. That is where the problem comes in. In order for the fight to take place, Dos Santos Alves has issued a stipulation.

“I’m going to go up to 120 kilos and you’re going to go down to 120 kilos.

“I’m going to rip off your head.”

In the “Iranian Hulk’s most recent Instagram post he wrote: “Be brave and Invite me to fight. rather than hiding behind your sponsors, I am ready to fight you, show me what you’ve got to say in the ring.”

In another post he stated:

“No more regrets
No turning back
Im moving on
Its not over
we’re going to FIGHT:

I imagine that this would be one of the most slow and sluggish MMA fights in history, that would probably be over in about 30 seconds after they both get completely gassed out from moving their humongously massive frames around the octagon
