I’m still stuck in the 90′s. I don’t think I will ever get over it. The carefree days of playing video games, taking a break when the ice cream man rang his jingle and not having to worry about bills, insurance, rent, office politics, and the myriad of other bullshit that seems to haunt being a grown up. The only comfort I take is to remember the good ol’ days and the good ol’ days consisted in a lot of video game playing, specifically NES. Watching this video brought back the traumatic memories of Nintendo’s Battletoads and that fucking level witht the hovercraft and the fucking ramps and everything inbetween that prevented me from ever advancing to the next level.

We all feel your pain and are sending out our prayers so that you might one day catch up with the ‘fucking orbs’ before you crack and destroy your video game system in a fit of rage.

Bo Jackson in Tecmo Super Bowl was the epitome of what every man, woman, child dreams they could be. He would send young kids and grown men crying into shame when their defenses tried to master the Raider offense he chaired. Players using him have been able to rush for 800-900 yards per game and run all over the field on one play and run out the time of a whole quarter without being tackled. He is arguably the most lethal athlete in video game history.

If you were a product of the 90′s you definitely were in this thing called an ‘Arcade’ where countless hours were valuably wasted trying to conquer every new game beset before you. And if you remember what an arcade is, then you definitely remember the holy grail of arcade games, the 4-player arcade games and although there were few, the few that were released left a long and lasting impression that still has me reminiscing about calling up 3 other friends, strolling down to the mall and plugging in quarter after quarter trying to get to the next level.
