I just want to give some props to Urijah Faber for yesterdary’s awesome win over Ivan Menjivar. Not only did he submit Menjivar with an awesome rear naked choke, he also celebrated on Ivan Menjivar’s back. Poor Ivan. He looked like the guy who hated the roller coaster trying to figure out how to extricate himself from the seat belt at the end.
Also I’d like to give some props to Ronda Rousey for her armbar win and her excellent choice of music to walk out to.
A sharp knee to the solar plexus will end anyones ambition of dethroning The Greatest Of All Time.
For all you WWE folks who were wondering what happened to Bautista, wonder no longer. He has been training MMA for the last couple years, which has culminated in his first real fight against Vince Lucero. And having viewed the fight, you can come to the conclusion that he should stick to professional wrestling. He won the fight, however his standup is seriously lacking. In outfits like Strikeforce or UFC, he would be slaughtered like a sheep sent to a pack of wolves. Props to him for trying something new though.
If you’re an MMA fan like me, this video will hit all the right emotions within you. The music and the editing is beautifully crafted together.
Holy Crap! What a fight! For all the Silva fans, myself included, for 2 rounds you rode a rollercoaster of emotion as Chael got that double leg and dominated Silva in the first round. Redemption came in the second round as Silva stuffed two takedown attempts and did what was needed to be done.
The day of reckoning has come. The day that Chael Sonnen puts his money where his mouth is and delivers on all the trash talk that he has been spewing for the last two years since he got defeated in the last minute of a 25 minute ass whooping that he was giving to Anderson Silva. Even though Chael is hell bent on revenge, I’m still putting my money on Anderson Silva, although I’m a little bit weary that Chael has gotten into Anderson’s head. You know damn well that Anderson has been working that takedown defense like a mofo and if he can stuff the shot, Chael’s is like a shark on land against Anderson’s standup. Nonetheless it will be a good fight and the undercard looks pretty damn good too. I know I posted Anderson Silva’s documentary ‘Like Water’ a few months ago, but it only seems fitting that I post it again for an occasion such as this one. Enjoy.
Thanks Fedor for all the memories! You dominated the sport like no other and you always kept it classy! You will be missed!
