I’ve been dating for two years, but only a handful of guys, and I’ve taken breaks in between. I’ve noticed a pattern: I’m drawn to emotionally unavailable men, addicted to the highs and lows—the waiting for a text, the rush when it comes, and the anxiety when they go cold. I’m a 32-year-old guy, and lately I’ve become almost paralyzed by the fear of coming across as creepy to women. My friend just found out his wife has been cheating on him. Does anyone else feel totally demoralized when scrolling through Reddit or FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) forums and seeing 30-year-olds with $500k+ net worths? It’s like everywhere I look, someone my age (or younger!) is either a high-earning software engineer or a genius investor who bought Amazon at $3 and has been maxing out every retirement account since birth. Meanwhile, I’m here just trying to make sure I don’t accidentally pay my electric bill late again.

I 24F have been with my bf 25m for 4 years straight , we have been through hell and back together, lived in multiple places together and have gotten really close with each others parents.

He recently bought a house back in July and as a result I’ve been working 13 hour shifts as a surgical assistant while he works at a computer all day. Due to me working long hours on my feet I’ve been too tired to have sex on the weekdays and now he is blaming his porn addiction on me.

My son is five. A couple of days ago, we were out shopping when we ran into one of my wife’s old high school friends. They started catching up, and at one point, my wife mentioned that we had a son. Her friend asked what his name was, and there was a pause—my wife hesitated. So I answered for her.

That’s when her friend gave us a strange look and said, “You mean like your ex-boyfriend?”

I’m a 32-year-old man, and I’m struggling with a situation that’s honestly breaking my heart: my wife—who’s 43—barely lets me spend time alone with our six-year-old daughter. She keeps our daughter close, almost as if she can’t stand the idea of us having our own father-daughter relationship.
