“Caught in lifestyle creep, how to get out?”

First of all, I completely understand that my problems are first world problems and I’m VERY lucky to be where I’m at financially. Even so, I have very poor money management skills and could really use some advice. Its embarrassing. Thanks in advance for the help.
Me: 37, gross $13k-$15k/mo, 25% w2, 75% self employed. Main monthly expenses are rent: $1300 Child support: $800 Car: $350, along with regular utilities, subscriptions etc. Credit score: terrible. I’ve run the numbers and there is absolutely no good reason for me to essentially be living paycheck to paycheck and having around $5k of debt killing my credit score. I have a small 401k and about $1k in a savings account, but that’s it. Yes, self employment taxes shaves off a fair amount each month, but I’m lucky enough to get health insurance through my W2 job that helps balance things.

“I’m embarrassed to be out in public with my boyfriend.”

My boyfriend and i have been together for 2 years. I love my boyfriend, but he lacks social awareness and doesn’t have good manners. For example, when we went out to dinner the other night, he was talking/laughing extremely loudly, burping and farting. When we go to the movies, he talks regularly rather than whispering and makes commentary about the movie, which annoys the other people in the theatre. Also, whenever we walk past a group of people, he tries to be funny and says stupid things. For example, the other day, we were walking past a group of guys and my boyfriend was like “i need to fart” super loudly. Mind you, he’s 27.
I don’t know if i’m being overly sensitive or if his behaviour is childish and unacceptable. How can i handle this situation?

Porn: The Supranormal Stimulus Hijacking Your Brain

So here’s the deal: our brains are wired to seek out rewards, especially powerful ones like sex. Back in the day, this helped motivate our caveman ancestors to get it on and pass on their genes. But fast forward to today, and we’ve got access to a sexual reward our brains never evolved to handle: a never-ending supply of intensely arousing porn at our fingertips 24/7.

“I’m sick of boomers telling gen Z and millennials to “suck it up””

I’m sick of boomers telling gen Z and millennials to “suck it up” when we complain that a $60k or less salary shouldn’t force us to live mediocre lives living “frugally” like with roommates, not eating out, not going out for drinks, no vacations.
Like no, we NEED these things just to survive this capitalistic hellscape boomers have allowed to happen for the benefit of the 1%.
We should guarantee EVERYONE be able to afford their own housing, a month of vacation every year, free healthcare, student loans paid off, AT A MINIMUM.
Gen Z should not have to struggle just because older generations struggled. Give everything to us NOW.
