“I Wish I Hadn’t Lived Life as If It Would Last Forever”

We often go through life acting as if we have all the time in the world. When we’re young, the future stretches out before us, seemingly infinite. We put off pursuing our dreams, telling ourselves we’ll get to it someday. We neglect to nurture important relationships, figuring there will always be time to reconnect later. We fail to take risks or seize opportunities, assuming chances will come around again. Living with a false sense that life will last forever, we squander much of the precious time we have.

Never Give Out Personal or Financial Information On a Call You Did Not Initiate

It happens often, and it seems like common sense. But, how often have you been called by your loan company, or your phone company, or your insurance company, or internet company, and that call has started with something like:
“Hello, this is Sandra from Comcast calling about your account. Before going any further, for your security, please verify the last four digits of your social security number.”

Confession of the Day

My gf and I have been together for 6 years. She keeps hinting at wanting to get married and talking about what her wedding will be like someday.
So I’ve decided to take the hint. I bought an engagement ring a week ago and am planning to pop the question sometime soon.
Well, over the weekend she had a work function. This was the first time she’s invited me along. I’m not super outgoing, but I was kind of looking forward to meeting all these coworkers she talks about so much.
For some reason, every time we talked to someone, she introduced me as her “cousin”. I thought it was a joke at first, but she kept at the whole day.
