If you’ve never seen The Decline of Western Civilization, you don’t need to know anything about punk to get pulled into it.
Released in 1981 and directed by Penelope Spheeris, the documentary drops you into the Los Angeles punk scene at the end of the 1970s, when bands like Black Flag, X, the Germs, Circle Jerks, Fear, and Catholic Discipline were playing small clubs to crowds of kids who looked like they might either start a band or start a fight before the night was over.

“I signed a terrible car deal, and now I feel trapped”

I recently got a new car after going to a dealership for a promotion. I traded in my old car, and they gave me $3,000 toward the new one.
I was at the dealership for hours, pushing back on the price. Eventually, I got tired and made the decision to take the deal. I got too hasty and signed the contract without double checking everything before I walked out the door.
I didn’t get the price I wanted. The used car was listed around $42,000, which was already getting close to what it would cost new at about $55,000. After everything that was added to the deal, the total came out to around $73,000.
