After being taunted with homophobic slurs for his interest in men, Emile Griffith would knockout Benny Paret so bad he would die days later…
Emile Griffith and Benny “Kid” Paret’s rivalry in the boxing ring is etched in history for its tragic culmination. Their intense trilogy of fights within a year, culminating in Griffith’s fatal victory over Paret on March 24, 1962, is a stark reminder of the brutal nature of the sport. Paret, only 25 and a recent welterweight champion, faced Griffith, a year younger, in a match that would end in irreversible tragedy.
The Importance of Personal Responsibility

Life can often feel like a series of random events that happen to us, rather than experiences we consciously create. It’s easy to fall into the trap of seeing yourself as a passive participant in your own story. But the truth is, you have far more agency in shaping your life than you realize. Taking responsibility for your choices and actions is the critical first step to unlocking your full potential and creating the life you want.
What does it mean to take responsibility for your life? At the most basic level, it means acknowledging that you are the author of your story. Your circumstances don’t define you; it’s the attitude you bring to any situation that matters. Taking responsibility means letting go of blame and victimhood, and instead looking inward at how your thoughts, beliefs, and actions may be perpetuating certain patterns or limiting your growth.

My (34M) wife (42F) is a stay at home mom. Last week when I was at work, and my two oldest were at school, (5M and 3M) my wife was sitting at the dining room table when she saw a man walking down the drive way and going to the front door. He had, what she thought was a hammer. She went to the front door and the guy was trying to get in. The guy saw her and waived, and tried to get in. She fled the house and ran out the back door. She left her cell phone and Apple Watch.

So, the daughter invited the disabled mother to come live with her.
Cynthia did not like Geoward. Those feelings were mutual.
He was a “My House My Rules” sort of guy.
