What Does A Catalytic Converter Do And Why Are They Constantly Being Stolen?

Burning fuel can produce several toxic gases. A catalytic converter is a device that takes those toxic gases and converts them into less toxic gases.
For example, it converts Carbon monoxide into Carbon Dioxide, and Nitric Acid into Nitrogen and Oxygen (and a few other reactions).
In order to do this, it needs some precious metals which act as catalysts for the reactions. These metals don’t get consumed, but their presence helps to trigger these reactions. A catalytic converter will contain Rhodium, Platinum, and Palladium.

What’s It Like To Have Dementia?

First, it helps to understand that dementia unfolds in stages: mild, moderate, and severe.
In the early, mild stage, life can feel almost normal until it doesn’t. It’s a bit like living with a constant mental fog. You can still go about your day and complete routine tasks, but small things slip through the cracks. You might put your shirt on backward and not notice. You might tear apart the kitchen looking for the sugar bowl, only to give up, leaving a mess behind, and later insist you never touched a thing. The memory simply isn’t there. When someone tells you otherwise, it can feel like they are lying.
“My fiancée and I are having the biggest argument of our lives.”

I don’t know if I’m going crazy, but my fiancée and I are having a huge argument. We are not even married yet and we have never fought like this before.
Where I’m from, engaged couples host a party before their wedding. Some people call it a social, a Jack and Jill, or a stag and doe. The whole point is to raise money. You rent a hall, people pay to get in, and there are raffles, games, or auctions. Family and friends donate prizes, bring food for a potluck, and alcohol is sold at the event.

The Dangers of Cheap Dopamine

You wake up, grab your phone, and before your brain has fully booted up, you’ve already checked Instagram, skimmed a few headlines, maybe watched a couple of short videos. Nothing memorable. Nothing meaningful. But it felt like something.
That’s cheap dopamine.

The Unseen Challenges of Running a Car Wash Business

I worked for fourteen years at a family managed and family-owned business (27-years in the family) with both full-service car washes and self-service washes.
There is a STUPID amount of money in both but types of business but equally a bucket full of problems you don’t see from the outside or in the P/L accounting reports.

“Can someone talk me out of buying a luxury vehicle?”

I have a 2019 Toyota Camry that’s fully paid off. My dad paid it off for me a few years ago, and I’ve kept up with maintenance. It’s been completely reliable with zero issues.
But I’ve been eyeing a Mercedes for about two years now.
I’m single, no kids, and make decent money. Part of me wants to finally treat myself to something nicer. I’ve never had a car payment before, so I’m trying to stay practical. I’m not looking for anything over the top, just something more elevated, probably a used Mercedes.
