Confessions of a Boxer Who Killed His Opponent in the Ring

How did you accidentally kill your opponent?
I honestly think the fight was rigged in my favor i even talked about this with my dad.
I came into the fight at 6’4 and 248lbs while my opponent was 5’11 and around 220, sure some fighters are ligther but it was fairly unusual to have an almost 30lb difference, coupled with the fact he was younger, less experienced and overall not a very good fighter.

The Origins Behind 21 Commonly Used Phrases

Language, as we use it every day, is a bit like the universe: endlessly fascinating, unexpectedly bizarre, and thoroughly misunderstood. Consider the phrases we toss about with reckless abandon—“bite the bullet,” “spill the beans,” or “raining cats and dogs.” Where did they come from? And who, for heaven’s sake, decided that was the best way to describe the situation?
Join me as we dive into the quirky, meandering history of 20 common phrases. You’ll laugh, you’ll learn, and you’ll definitely wonder how anyone in the 17th century got anything done at all.

“Is my wife cheating?”

My wife texts male coworkers about non-work things late into the night. She talks about our marriage with them, confides in them, and sometimes meets up with them without telling me. Their messages include things like “xoxo,” kissing emojis, saying they miss each other, and she even calls one of them “hubs.”
When I confront her, she denies anything is going on and avoids even saying their names. She says they’re like annoying brothers, but that doesn’t line up with how she talks to them. I don’t buy the idea of “work spouses.” It feels disrespectful and like something that starts small and turns into flirting without labels.
“Does anyone else get demotivated seeing 30-year-olds with $500k+ net worths?”

Does anyone else feel totally demoralized when scrolling through Reddit or FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early) forums and seeing 30-year-olds with $500k+ net worths? It’s like everywhere I look, someone my age (or younger!) is either a high-earning software engineer or a genius investor who bought Amazon at $3 and has been maxing out every retirement account since birth. Meanwhile, I’m here just trying to make sure I don’t accidentally pay my electric bill late again.

14 Obvious Hints From Girls That Guys Hilariously Failed To Notice

1. In a pretty nice but fairly clueless guy’s apartment one afternoon just hanging out, making increasing hints that I’d like to get naked and play cowgirl. After about an hour he said he needed to step out, and as I was getting ready to leave, I basically blocked his hallway and mentioned that I’d never gotten the tour of his place before. He nodded, pointed out the kitchen and the living room. I rolled my eyes, and mentioned how nice it would be to see his bedroom. Obligingly, he pointed at the open door of the room and said, “There it is,” and then asked if we could get together later in the week?

The Most Miscast Movie Ever Made and the Tragedy That Followed

There is a specific kind of bad movie that becomes interesting precisely because nobody involved understood it was bad. Ed Wood knew he was working with limitations. Tommy Wiseau seems to exist in a parallel dimension where sincerity and delusion have fused into something approaching outsider art. But The Conqueror (1956) is a different animal entirely. The Conqueror was made by competent people, with real money, backed by a major studio, and starring the most bankable actor on the planet. Everyone involved believed they were making a prestige epic. And what they produced was John Wayne playing Genghis Khan.
I need you to sit with that for a second.

“I cheated on my husband”

I’ve been with my husband since junior high, almost 20 years, and we have kids together.
I had a rough childhood and very low self-esteem. When I was younger, that came out as controlling behavior and anger. I don’t even know why he stayed with me back then.
As I got older, I changed a lot, but he never really showed me much romantic attention. I started looking for validation elsewhere. Before we got married, I had a sexual situation with a coworker and told my husband. He stayed, we got married, and I got pregnant.
