“Can someone talk me out of buying a luxury vehicle?”
I have a 2019 Toyota Camry that’s fully paid off. My dad paid it off for me a few years ago, and I’ve kept up with maintenance. It’s been completely reliable with zero issues.
But I’ve been eyeing a Mercedes for about two years now.
I’m single, no kids, and make decent money. Part of me wants to finally treat myself to something nicer. I’ve never had a car payment before, so I’m trying to stay practical. I’m not looking for anything over the top, just something more elevated, probably a used Mercedes.

How Do You Properly Apologize To Someone?
Most people are terrible at apologizing.
Not because they don’t feel bad. But because they’re still trying to protect their ego while doing it.
So you get these half-apologies that sound like they came out of a corporate PR handbook:
“I’m sorry if you felt hurt.”
“I didn’t mean it like that.”
“I was just stressed.”
Translation: I care more about not being the bad guy than actually fixing what I did.

What is Corporate Speak?
Corporate speak is one of those things everyone claims to hate, yet somehow continues to use with the quiet enthusiasm of a person refilling their own drink at a party they don’t want to be at. It’s a language that exists not to communicate ideas, but to create the feeling that ideas are being communicated. And the strange part is, it works—not because it’s clear, but because it’s familiar. It’s the linguistic equivalent of elevator music. No one listens, but everyone recognizes it.

A few weeks ago, I asked out a female coworker I had real feelings for. For me, this was a big step. I’ve never really been in a relationship before and I was nervous the whole time. When I asked her, she seemed confused, like she didn’t realize it was meant to be a date, but I didn’t back down.
Leading up to it, things felt good. She didn’t ghost me, she showed up looking great, and we spent time together. But early on, it became clear she thought it was just a friendly hangout. She told me she doesn’t date coworkers and that she isn’t really interested in dating in general. She didn’t say she wasn’t attracted to me, just that dating isn’t something she wants.
