My son (19m) bragged to another family member about stealing a pair of expensive boots. He said he took of his old ones, put them on the shelf and walked out with the new ones on his feet.

Worst part is my son called to tell me how exited he was that someone “gave him” a nice pair of boots, and told me a whole story about it. I was asked not to say I was told by the family member who told me. I know I cant do much, but am just looking for some advice or even just your thoughts. I feel so disappointed.

I have a friend and thus far in my entire life she’s always been good to me. Whenever we catch up, they just always seem to have something bad happening to her. from my perspective, it really is just shitty people doing shitty things because they can see that she’s kind and theytake advantage of it.

She confided in me the other day that she feels cursed and we’re Christian so I just prayed for her, But lately I can’t help but start to wonder the same thing. And I don’t wonder because I wish that for her, but to ultimately help her because it’s just so sad to watch and I don’t know how to help. So, why do bad things happen to good people? And if you were in my shoes, how would you handle these feelings?

I’m 38M, my wife is 43F. With our son away this week, I’d been looking forward to spending some one-on-one time together. She ended up taking a short-term job out of town, which was disappointing, but I supported her. She asked me to come visit for dinner, which I thought was sweet, so I canceled my plans and drove a couple hours to see her.

When I arrived at her hotel, some of her crew were in the lobby. One asked if she was joining them for dinner, and she said, “No, I’m having dinner with my friend.” She didn’t introduce me, just gave me a quick hug and walked me upstairs. Afterward she explained that she had told her coworkers she was married, but in their group chat she’d said a “friend” was visiting because she thought it would look unprofessional to tell the director her husband was staying at the hotel.

My husband (39M) and I (37F) have been married for five years, and we have a one-year-old together. I love him, but I feel like something is really wrong, and I don’t know how much more I can accept. He’s a sweet man at heart, but he needs help. Looking back, I think I missed a lot of red flags while we were dating.

When we first met, he was the best man I’d ever been with. He didn’t have much experience with intimacy, but he still made me orgasm more than anyone else before him, and I got swept up in that. Fast forward to today, and he’s extremely lazy. I constantly have to tell him what to do, like I’m his mom. Even basic things like showering or brushing his teeth only happen because I tell him it turns me off.

Yesterday, I [M24] went on a first date with a girl I’ve known through mutual friends for a while. We’ve exchanged glances before, the vibe was always good, and I’d been crushing on her for a bit—so after some solid conversation recently, I finally asked her out.

We went to the pier, grabbed food, played some games—it was great. I even brought her flowers (yeah, I know, kind of cheesy). After I handed them to her, I offered to leave them in my car so she wouldn’t have to carry them around, but she smiled and said, “But I want to carry them around.” The chemistry was strong. We both said we were looking for something serious, we held hands, and she even let me sneak a kiss at the end of the night.

I am a 46 year old man, and I am terrified that I am going to be alone for the rest of my life.

I have never been married, and I do not have kids. Over the years I have been on a couple of dates here and there, but nothing meaningful has ever developed. I am not opposed to dating apps, but I have never had much luck with them. It is rare that I get matches, and even rarer that those matches turn into actual conversations. In person, I am friendly and polite, but I have always been shy when it comes to making a move or signaling interest.
