The Endless Feed: A Day Without Looking Up

I wake up and before I even move, before I even stretch, before I acknowledge the existence of the room around me, I reach for my phone. It’s not even a decision—it’s muscle memory, some primal, Pavlovian impulse. My hand, fumbling over the nightstand, finds the smooth, familiar shape, and there’s a brief flicker of anticipation before my thumb presses the button. The screen glows. The world opens.
I don’t check the time. I check notifications. The dopamine drip starts early: three texts, one missed call, a handful of emails, a notification that someone I don’t remember following posted a new photo of their overpriced meal at a restaurant I’ll never go to. I see it, I absorb it, I keep scrolling.

Eighteen Days in the Void: A Psychotic Break After LSD

I remember the exact moment when the walls of reality began to splinter. It wasn’t dramatic, like a shattering windowpane, but slow, creeping—a widening fissure in the foundation of my mind. One moment, I was simply tripping, colors sliding over one another like warm oil on a hot skillet. The next, the trip was tripping me.

Why You Should Never Go to a Timeshare Meeting, Even If You Think You’re Just There for the Free Voucher

It always starts the same way. You’re in Vegas, or Orlando, or some vaguely tropical location that smells like coconut sunscreen and regret. Someone offers you a deal that sounds too good to be true because, well, it is. They say: “Sit through this quick timeshare presentation, and we’ll give you a free dinner, a show ticket, or—if they’re really desperate—a jet ski rental.” You think, Why not? You know you’re not going to buy a timeshare. You’re way too smart for that. You just want the freebie. What could go wrong?
Everything. Everything could go wrong.

Confessions of a Compulsive Liar

I learned to lie the way some kids learn to ride a bike—gradually, with plenty of scrapes and falls along the way, but once I got the hang of it, I never forgot how. It started as a survival mechanism. A way to navigate a world that often felt unpredictable, where the truth didn’t always work in my favor.
My childhood was filled with landmines. Say the wrong thing, get punished. Show weakness, get ignored. Tell the truth about something you did wrong, and you learned very quickly that honesty wasn’t always the best policy—it was the fastest route to consequences. But a lie? A lie could smooth things over. A lie could buy time. A lie could protect me.
What Exactly Does a CEO Do?

If you ask the average person what a CEO does, you’ll likely hear something about making big decisions, running meetings, or maybe—if they’re feeling cynical—just collecting a massive paycheck. But the reality is far more nuanced. The CEO, at their core, is the chief storyteller, the chief motivator, and the chief decision-maker of the company. They set the vision, ensure the organization is aligned, and ultimately bear the weight of responsibility when things go wrong.
