A Stripper Explains the “Game” to the Guys Who Don’t Get It

strip club

Let me save some of you a great deal of money and embarrassment: when a stripper sits beside you, laughs at your jokes, touches your arm, and acts fascinated by your story about crushing your quarterly sales target, she is working.

That does not mean every smile is fake or that she secretly hates you. It means you are inside a business where attention, attraction, conversation, and fantasy are the products. The sooner you understand that, the more enjoyable the experience becomes for everyone.

lazy son

My oldest brother is in his 50s and hasn’t worked consistently in close to 20 years. He lives alone, rent free, in my mom’s second home, which she used to rent out for extra income.

He pays for nothing. My mom covers the mortgage, utilities, his phone bill, his cars, his food, and basically every other necessity.

After my dad died a few years ago, my brother convinced my mom to buy him a new car so he could DoorDash. He already had a paid off car that she had just spent $5,000 fixing for him.

Some Graves Don’t Deserve Reverence

There’s something obscene about it.

Flowers. Trinkets. A polished stone. Praying hands. Roses. And the words “Our Angel in Heaven.”

Meanwhile, 19 children and two teachers are dead.

Twenty-one people walked into Robb Elementary on May 24, 2022, with every reasonable expectation that they would walk back out. They didn’t. Nineteen kids were denied birthdays, first loves, bad jobs, good meals, stupid mistakes, marriages, divorces, road trips, disappointments, triumphs—the whole messy privilege of getting older.
